According to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service as reported by a local news report, the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Orange County dropped 1.2 cents on Sunday to $5.693. This marks the lowest amount since Aug. 28, following 37 drops in the last 38 days.
In Los Angeles County, the average price fell 1 cent on Sunday to $5.827, reaching its lowest level since Sept. 2. Meanwhile, the national average dropped 1.7 cents to $4.02.
