Four area high school football teams remain undefeated after the conclusion of Week Four games, showcasing strong performances across Orange County. Huntington Beach, Pacifica, Rancho Alamitos, and Orange High Schools have all maintained perfect records as they head deeper into their seasons.
Huntington Beach, now 5-0, secured a hard-fought 29-25 victory over the Yorba Linda Mustangs in a contest that drew significant attention, pitting two previously unbeaten teams against each other. The home team's win came in the closing moments, with star quarterback Brady Edmunds delivering a 26-yard scoring pass to Nicolas Navarette. Edmunds completed 25 of 33 passes for a total of 310 yards and contributed two scores. Running back Nathan Santillian added 62 yards on 26 carries, while Dlyin Bruce was a key receiver, catching nine passes for 125 yards and one score. The Oilers are scheduled for a week off before commencing Delta League play against El Modena, which also holds a 4-0 record, on Friday, October 2.
Pacifica, also standing at 5-0, achieved a 35-24 non-league win against the Aliso Niguel Wolverines. The Mariners established a 28-10 lead after three quarters and successfully repelled a late surge from Aliso Niguel. Their Iota League schedule will begin on Friday, October 2, when they host the Centurions from neighboring Cypress High. The Cypress team currently holds a 4-1 record, having recently lost 21-7 to Foothill High of Santa Ana.
Orange High, with a 5-0 record, emerged victorious in a high-scoring 35-28 struggle against the Etiwanda Eagles. Quarterback Star Thomas III was a dual threat for the Panthers, completing 13 of 20 passes for 273 yards and three scores. He also rushed for 107 yards and two scores on 13 carries. Wide receiver KJ Woodbury contributed significantly with five catches for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Orange High is set to visit El Dorado, which has a 2-2 record, on October 2 for their final non-league game of 2026. Foxtrot League play for the Panthers will then commence on October 9 against Segerstrom.
Rancho Alamitos maintained its perfect 4-0 record with a decisive 48-6 rout of Garden Grove Unified School District rival Santiago, which holds a 1-3 record, on Friday night. Erick Garcia led the scoring for the Vaqueros with three touchdowns, while Ethan Garcia added two touchdowns. Rancho Alamitos is slated to face another GGUSD rival, La Quinta, on Friday, September 25. La Quinta currently holds a 3-1 record, having experienced a 35-7 loss to Loara on Thursday night, after starting the week with a 3-0 mark.
