Chef Tim Hollingsworth, an acclaimed culinarian with a distinguished career, is set to open a new wood-fire kitchen concept within the upcoming OCVibe development in Anaheim. This announcement places Hollingsworth among the notable restaurateurs joining the mixed-use hub, with his new establishment anticipated to open next year, aligning with OCVibe’s broader launch.
Hollingsworth brings a significant pedigree to Orange County’s dining scene. He previously spent a decade honing his craft at The French Laundry in Yountville, an institution widely recognized for its Michelin-starred excellence. His talents were also formally acknowledged in 2010, when he received the James Beard Foundation’s Rising Star Chef of the Year Award, a prestigious accolade within the culinary world.
The addition of Hollingsworth marks him as the third noteworthy chef to be revealed for OCVibe’s expanding lineup of dine-in outposts. He joins previously announced chefs Roy Choi and Damon Cho, contributing to a diverse and high-profile culinary offering. The developers of OCVibe have indicated that two more prominent chefs are yet to be announced, promising further culinary diversity for the Anaheim destination.
In a statement regarding his latest venture, Chef Hollingsworth directly addressed his connection to the region. He remarked on having dedicated much of his professional life to cooking in Los Angeles, during which time he frequently welcomed guests traveling from Orange County. Expressing his enthusiasm for this new chapter, Hollingsworth stated that "It’s exciting to now bring something to them in Anaheim,” underscoring his intent to serve the local community directly.
OCVibe itself is an ambitious project, envisioned as a $4 billion mixed-use hub designed to reshape a significant portion of Anaheim. The expansive development is notably backed by Henry and Susan Samueli. The entire OCVibe complex is scheduled to come online in March 2027, establishing a specific timeline for the opening of Hollingsworth’s new concept and the other announced amenities.
This latest revelation regarding the culinary talent joining OCVibe highlights the development's commitment to establishing itself as a premier destination for dining and entertainment in Orange County. As preparations continue towards its 2027 debut, the growing list of acclaimed chefs promises a dynamic and appealing experience for residents and visitors alike, further enhancing Anaheim's position as a regional draw.
